Modular Feature Sets
As a leader in edge computing for video, Videon transforms live video technology by offering users modular access to a comprehensive set of features for processing video streams. This allows you to start with a simple setup and scale up as needed, all within a compact encoding device. The feature sets, provided through Videon's LiveEdge platform, are available as software components; some of them come with a certain model, and others are available as subscription add-ons. The encoding hardware itself can either be bought outright or subscribed to, offering flexibility to meet various needs.

The Encoders
EZ Encoder
EZ Encoder is a standard-performance video encoder with one HDMI and one 3G SDI connectors on board to ingest single channel HDMI or 3G SDI video. The number of streaming outputs and profiles defines three different perpetual versions, also called Purchase models. The Purchase models can be upgraded to a higher EZ Encoder version and can also be made accessible to more LiveEdge feature sets. The Subscription model that contains the EZ Encoder hardware is called LiveEdge Node.

Contains the basic feature set:
• Encode - Single Channel HDMI or SDI Input/Single Stream Output (1 x RTMP/SRT/RTSP - MPEG-2 TS Unicast x2 or Multicast x1), Single Profile.
• EdgeCaster device with perpetual encoding license for H.264, HEVC, AAC-LC, input resolution up to 4Kp30 with multi-channel audio, encodes up to 4Kp30, Closed Captioning.
• Static graphical overlay.

EZ Max Encoder
The EZ Max encoderis a high-performance video encoder has one HDMI and two 12G SDI connectors on board. The SDI connectors can function as 2x SDI input or as 1x SDI input with a loop out on the input. Each input enables the simultaneous transmission of multiple video streams at varying bit rates and resolutions, including up to UHD 4K60, using the H.265/HEVC codec.

2Go Series
2Go is a portable version containing one or two Videon encoders housed in a weatherproof, dustproof, and crush-proof case, making it highly durable and easy to transport. It's designed to be carried to various locations, fitting the needs of live event producers who require robust and reliable on-site equipment.
The 2Go series are available as Purchase and Subscription models.
Rack mounted encoders
A horizontal Rack Mount Tray (19") (1RU) (5.95" deep) can be used for direct mounting of up to 3 Videon EZ Encoders or 2 Max Encoder devices. You can purchase a rack as a separate Purchase product and create your own heat-optimized rack encoder version. Alternatively, LiveEdge Rack (3 inputs) is available as a subscription model.

The LiveEdge Containers
Videon offers the following LiveEdge containers or suites. Some containers already come with certain encoder model, others are offered as subscription add-ons. The subscription price is the price per input. So, if your hardware encoder model has multiple inputs, you can decide how many inputs you want to have a LiveEdge add-on subscription for. Videon is rolling out new updates every 6 to 8 weeks, so your devices keeps improving and expanding its capabilities. It's like having a tool that grows with you and your needs, always adding something new to explore and utilize in your work.
Activate LiveEdge - includes LiveEdge Run/Compute
The Activate LiveEdge subscription contains the LiveEdge Run/Compute suite and is for Purchase models to makes the encoder accessible to other LiveEdge subscriptions. It is included in all Subscription models.
LiveEdge Compute provides experimenters and developers the power to build, PoC, and deploy new features, and functionality, using plug-and-play Docker containers.
LiveEdge Cloud Control
LiveEdge Cloud Control enables you to orchestrate a fleet of devices remotely from anywhere in the world, while monitoring their health and receiving real-time alerts. This suite is included in VCare (Videon's support plan) and all Subscription models.
LiveEdge Stream
LiveEdge Stream provides the latest live low latency video streaming functions, multiple outputs (SRT/RTMP/Zixi/WHIP) and multiple profiles (HLS/DASH/CMAF).
It is perpetually included in some Purchase models or as an upgrade to a higher Purchase model.
LiveEdge Ads
LiveEdge Ads leverages SCTE-35 to insert ad markers and drive monetization. The insertion can be triggered through REST API or SCTE-104 ingest.
LiveEdge Data
LiveEdge Data enables SMPTE-336-based KLV functionality for multi-camera time sync and user defined metadata for personalization.
LiveEdge Graphix
LiveEdge Graphix adds value to live video, ingesting metadata and enabling visualization of HTML5-based metadata onscreen.
